Principal Data System Architect, Data Engineering & Monetization

We are looking for a Principal Data System Architect, Data Engineering & Monetization in EMEA to lead the design and evolution of large-scale, distributed data platforms that drive business intelligence, operational excellence, and monetization opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience architecting large-scale distributed data systems in complex or regulated domains.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data stack technologies, including Python, Docker, Airflow, Trino, Postgres, distributed query engines, and graph-based metadata systems.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native and on-premises deployments, with a focus on automation and developer self-service.
• Knowledge of data processing paradigms, schema management, logical modeling, and telemetry/metadata standards (OpenTelemetry, OpenMetadata, OpenLineage).
• Experience with AI-driven architectures, model orchestration, and emerging standards like MCP.
• Strong architectural judgment for scalable, resilient, and cost-aware data solutions.
• Excellent collaboration, mentorship, and communication skills, with a passion for open-source and team-oriented culture.
