This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer I, Web & 3D Integrations in North America.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will join a cutting-edge engineering team focused on web-based 3D toolchains and their integration with distributed manufacturing systems. In this hands-on role, you will develop and maintain APIs, orchestration layers, and backend services that connect design tools to a global network of production facilities. You will collaborate closely with product and operations teams to optimize workflows, improve throughput, and ensure high reliability. This position offers the opportunity to solve complex technical challenges, implement scalable solutions, and contribute to a platform that transforms how technology supports a large, evolving industry. Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems, APIs, and services that integrate 3D design tools with supply chain and manufacturing infrastructure.
- Orchestrate availability and access to 3D tools based on operational triggers and capacity requirements.
- Manage submission, storage, and distribution of CAD outputs to cloud and remote manufacturing centers.
- Support internal API development and microservice architecture for enhanced functionality and efficiency.
- Instrument tools to provide actionable insights for planning, forecasting, and improving operational throughput.
- Integrate with third-party APIs to transmit and retrieve 3D data for processing.
- Identify technical debt and propose solutions to enhance system performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product management and operations engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in backend development using TypeScript or Node.js.
- Strong understanding of backend frameworks and technologies such as NestJS, Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with full project lifecycle ownership, from concept to production and maintenance.
- Ability to analyze business processes and apply technical solutions to operational challenges.
- Excellent communication skills for discussing complex technical, architectural, or organizational issues.
- Comfortable working in a highly agile, iterative software development environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of thriving in a remote-first organization.
- Bonus: Familiarity with 3D file formats, browser-based 3D tools, and supply chain or operations-focused engineering experience.
