This role is ideal for a seasoned backend engineer and technical leader who thrives on designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. You will lead architecture and engineering initiatives across complex e-commerce and internal platforms, shaping the long-term technical vision while guiding cross-functional teams. Collaborating with product and business leaders, you will influence system design, optimize backend performance, and ensure resilient infrastructure. Accountabilities:
- Architect end-to-end backend solutions using modern frameworks, design patterns, and scalable architectures.
- Lead system design discussions for high-traffic applications, ensuring robust, resilient, and maintainable systems.
- Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security, accessibility, and data privacy compliance.
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept to delivery, aligning technical solutions with business goals.
- Build, maintain, and optimize distributed systems using Spring Boot microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Design and manage high-performance databases (MySQL, Oracle) and caching layers (Redis) for efficiency.
- Configure and maintain load balancing, monitoring, and analytics using Nginx, Apache, and the ELK Stack.
- Own CI/CD pipelines, proactive monitoring, and infrastructure automation to ensure system reliability.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams through architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 10+ years of enterprise-level software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, and SQL (MySQL/Oracle).
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD (Jenkins).
- Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX environments, Nginx/Apache configuration, and ELK Stack monitoring.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, system design, and distributed systems.
- Proven track record in architecting complex backend systems and mentoring technical teams.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a remote-first, flexible work environment and adapt to evolving technical needs.
