This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the technical deployment and onboarding of complex network and observability platforms for enterprise clients. As a Platform Deployment Engineer, you will serve as a key technical advisor, guiding customers through configuration, agent deployment, and activation of critical use cases. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to ensure a seamless first experience for clients. The role combines hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer engagement, enabling clients to realize tangible outcomes quickly. You will influence operational best practices, deliver technical solutions at scale, and contribute to long-term customer success. Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end technical onboarding and deployment experience for new customers, ensuring successful platform adoption.
- Collaborate directly with clients to scope and execute technical implementation plans, driving them to their First Desired Outcome.
- Lead platform configuration, Private Agent installation, initial setup, and test creation for new clients.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact during onboarding, offering expert guidance and proactive support.
- Work closely with Solutions Engineers, Customer Success Managers, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to post-sales.
- Identify and escalate technical challenges, product gaps, or deployment blockers to internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles focused on software implementation, onboarding, or deployment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Internet routing protocols (IPv4/v6, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF, HTTP, DNS).
- Experience with network monitoring technologies (Netflow, J-Flow, sFlow, IPFIX, SNMP).
- Proficiency with Linux/UNIX systems administration.
- Experience with network vendor CLI (Cisco, Juniper, Arista) and scripting/programming (Python, Bash, Ruby, PHP, Perl).
- Experience with APIs and RESTful integrations.
- Knowledge of network security practices, DDoS mitigation, firewalls, and traffic analysis tools (tcpdump, Wireshark).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and CDN architectures (Anycast, OTT, GSLB).
- Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and synthetic/network performance testing.
- Customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for guiding clients to success.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

- Competitive base salary: $128,000 - $160,000 with an expected overall targeted earnings (OTE) range of $160,000 - $200,000.
