This role offers the opportunity to work on scalable, high-performance Node.js RESTful services that power innovative software products for small- and medium-sized businesses. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient solutions. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain performant, scalable, and secure Node.js RESTful services.
- Build and enhance cloud-based software products, ensuring code quality and reliability.
- Debug, monitor, and resolve issues in existing services while delivering new features.
- Conduct peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to best practices in Node.js development, including testing, design patterns, and software paradigms.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional experience designing and implementing Node.js RESTful services.
- Experience developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based Node.js applications.
- Proficiency with Fastify or Express frameworks.
- Strong debugging skills and experience maintaining high-quality codebases.
- Solid understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with unit and integration testing.
- Preferred: TypeScript experience, familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or AWS, Docker/Kubernetes experience, and knowledge of Open API Specification/Swagger.
