Lead Full-Stack Developer (NextJS/Expo) (LATIN AMERICA)

As a Lead Full-Stack Developer, you will drive the architecture, development, and delivery of both web and mobile applications using NextJS, Expo, and TypeScript. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor developers, and collaborate directly with clients to ensure product vision and technical excellence. This role requires balancing hands-on development with strategic oversight, delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across platforms while maintaining seamless communication and strong project organization. You will play a pivotal role in shaping product direction, guiding architecture decisions, and ensuring the success of client engagements in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

• Lead full-stack development of web and mobile applications using NextJS, Expo, and TypeScript.
• Architect scalable, maintainable backend and frontend solutions.
• Collaborate directly with clients to provide technical guidance and shape product direction.
• Mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, proactivity, and organization.
• Own delivery timelines, ensuring tasks are well-defined, tracked, and executed efficiently.
• Communicate progress, risks, and next steps clearly to clients and internal teams.
• Ensure product quality, performance, and reliability across web and mobile platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications with React/NextJS, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Expo/React Native for production-grade mobile apps.
• Strong experience in backend architecture, REST APIs, and database integrations.
• Practical knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront).
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring developers and guiding architecture decisions.
• Excellent client communication skills with confidence in technical discussions and requirement gathering.
• Highly proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, Jira, Slack, and Loom; willingness to adopt T3 Turbo stack (NextJS, tRPC, Drizzle, TailwindCSS).
• Advanced English communication skills (C-level or equivalent) and ability to work EST hours.
