We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to elevate product analytics and experimentation capabilities in a fast-paced, user-focused environment. In this role, you will lead the development of a world-class experimentation platform, define best practices for A/B testing and causal inference, and mentor a team of data scientists to deliver high-impact insights. You will collaborate across multiple product teams to connect experimentation outcomes with strategic product decisions and user engagement metrics. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, strong analytical thinking, and a passion for improving user experiences through data-driven experimentation. Accountabilities
- Lead the evolution of experimentation platforms and establish gold-standard practices for experiment design, analysis, and interpretation.
- Partner with product leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact experimentation opportunities across the user journey.
- Build frameworks for measuring product feature impact, user engagement, and behavior analytics.
- Coach and mentor data scientists on advanced experimentation techniques, product analytics, and statistical rigor.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust data instrumentation, tracking, and self-service analytics tools.
- Lead complex analytical projects focused on content discovery, platform engagement, and optimization of user experiences.
- Represent the data science team in product strategy, roadmap planning, and cross-functional decision-making.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in data science or analytics with demonstrated proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical modeling.
- 3+ years of experience leading experimentation programs or product analytics teams.
- Deep expertise in experimental design, A/B testing, sequential testing, power analysis, and causal inference.
- Proven track record of building and scaling experimentation platforms and frameworks.
- Experience in user behavior modeling, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and product engagement metrics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex statistical insights for product teams and executives.
- Experience mentoring data scientists and establishing methodological standards.
- Nice-to-have: experience in media/streaming, multi-armed bandits, Bayesian methods for experimentation, self-service analytics platforms, or feature flagging systems.
