Accountabilities:
- Lead design, development, testing, and deployment of AI solutions for document understanding, semantic chunking, and knowledge graph construction.
- Serve as the technical lead, accountable for all research deliverables and scalable production systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure robust, reliable, and high-performance AI solutions.
- Evaluate and optimize models for efficiency, accuracy, and latency, including knowledge distillation and model compression.
- Define comprehensive evaluation strategies and lead the creation of high-quality datasets and annotation workflows.
- Translate complex NLP challenges into innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
- Mentor and coach team members, building technical capability across NLP, GenAI, and AI research.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and leadership on long-term AI strategy.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, NLP, or a related field, or a Master’s with equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying document understanding systems, information extraction pipelines, or knowledge graph solutions.
- Expertise in NLP, LLMs, deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers), and generative AI applications.
- Proven ability to lead technically, mentor teams, and influence without formal authority.
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) and experience with large-scale AI deployments.
- Familiarity with semantic chunking, document classification, entity recognition, relation extraction, and knowledge graph construction.
- Experience designing annotation workflows, high-quality datasets, and evaluation frameworks.
- Preferred: experience in legal or enterprise document understanding, RAG workflows, AzureML, AWS SageMaker, or enterprise AI platforms.
