This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Senior SDET) in Latin America.
In this role, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of advanced test automation frameworks that combine traditional testing methods with AI-driven quality intelligence. You will architect scalable testing solutions, integrate AI-assisted testing, and ensure the reliability and safety of AI-enabled product features. The position requires collaboration with engineering, AI, and product teams to validate LLM-based systems and AI agents while mentoring junior QA and SDET engineers. You will define quality metrics, feedback loops, and intelligent CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, safer releases. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cutting-edge automation, developer productivity, and AI-powered testing in dynamic and innovative environments. You will influence both architecture and workflow, driving best practices across all delivery stages.
Accountabilities:
• Architect, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated testing frameworks, primarily using Playwright.
• Integrate AI-enabled testing methodologies, including predictive test selection, LLM-based test case generation, and self-healing automation.
• Design, build, and maintain custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools to enhance testing efficiency and context-awareness.
• Develop testing strategies for AI agents and AI-integrated product features, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to define validation frameworks for model performance and deterministic output behavior.
• Mentor and guide SDETs and QA engineers on advanced automation and AI-assisted testing practices.
• Define quality metrics, feedback loops, and intelligent CI/CD processes to support scalable, high-quality software delivery.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, DevOps, and Architecture teams to embed testing standards throughout the software lifecycle.
Requirements
• 7+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Strong expertise with Playwright or similar frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, WebDriverIO) and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI systems or tools into QA workflows, including prompt engineering, test generation, or defect analysis.
• Experience testing AI-driven solutions, LLM-based systems, or AI agents.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI) and cloud-native environments (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo, React, and microservice-based architectures.
• Strong mentorship, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation in AI, automation, and developer productivity.
• Nice to have: experience with AI agent testing, mobile testing frameworks, observability metrics for LLM products, or leading QA/automation teams.
