As a Fullstack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and improving web applications that support professional services. You will work on both frontend and backend components, collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teammates to deliver user-friendly, high-performance solutions. Accountabilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement new features that enhance usability, performance, and reliability.
- Write clean, testable code in Ruby on Rails and React with TypeScript, following coding standards and best practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and participate in QA efforts to ensure seamless application deployment.
- Support frontend and backend development for scalable web applications, including database queries and API integration.
- Leverage AI tools and modern technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, and optimize software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and mentorship opportunities to share knowledge and uphold engineering quality.
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- BS in Computer Science or a related field preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience (internships, bootcamps, or open-source contributions) is also valued.
- Experience with modern web application development using Ruby on Rails, React, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent).
- Understanding of version control workflows with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience leveraging AI tools or technologies to enhance software workflows or product innovation.
- Nice to have: exposure to cloud platforms (AWS), service-oriented architectures, testing frameworks (RSpec, Jest, Cypress), and TypeScript for frontend or backend development.
