We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Infrastructure Systems Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize the systems and applications that support both internal operations and external clients. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, virtual machines, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, remote environment, demonstrates strong technical problem-solving skills, and continuously evaluates and implements innovative solutions to improve IT operations. You will play a key role in automating processes, supporting infrastructure upgrades, and mentoring team members to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.
Accountabilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tier 2 technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate routine tasks and deployments.
- Perform daily system health checks and continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure components.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory, including FSMO roles, group policies, and forests.
- Support cloud infrastructure initiatives across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to implement new technology solutions and upgrades.
- Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides for efficient knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, HIPAA compliance, and ITIL change management principles.
- Participate in off-hours rotations for system maintenance, upgrades, and support.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure systems engineering or related IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of server, networking, and hardware systems, as well as virtualization technologies.
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting for task automation.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and principles, including Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and GitHub.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP; cloud certifications preferred.
- Knowledge of ITIL, ITSM concepts, and security best practices, including HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt to evolving priorities in a remote environment.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.
