Accountabilities:
The Director of Project and Program Management is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of multiple strategic initiatives:
- Lead cross-functional project and program strategies, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Manage performance and outcomes of complex projects/programs, ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the project management team.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships, including contractual obligations and strategic engagements.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and enhancements for project/program management practices.
- Serve as the escalation point for project/program-related issues and represent the organization in executive communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational objectives.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in project and program management, with proven leadership abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience; HS diploma or GED required.
- 8+ years of experience in project/program management or business analysis.
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Well-developed leadership and interpersonal skills to engage, inspire, influence, and develop others.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects/programs and timelines simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Preferred certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
- Experience in health care or PBM environments and familiarity with formal project management and process improvement methodologies is a plus.
