You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, leveraging Python, Snowflake, and Azure cloud services. Accountabilities

As a Data Engineer II, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data using Python and ETL frameworks.
• Integrate and manage data workflows on Snowflake and Azure cloud services (Azure Blob Storage, Key Vault, ADF pipelines).
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance with role-based access control, encryption, and masking practices.
• Collaborate with business teams to develop insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau.
• Optimize SQL queries and data models to improve performance, storage, and accessibility.
• Translate business requirements into actionable data visualizations and BI solutions, applying best practices in data modeling and DAX.
• Automate data workflows, monitor data pipelines, and troubleshoot pipeline issues proactively.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering and BI reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL development, workflow orchestration, and relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, and Report Builder), Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, normalization vs. denormalization, and schema design.
• Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly for data ingestion, storage, and pipeline orchestration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and role-based access control.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in the financial domain or handling financial datasets.
• Knowledge of other BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy.
• Exposure to automation, workflow scheduling, or CI/CD for data pipelines.
