This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Core Infrastructure Engineer in the United States.
The Core Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting critical infrastructure systems that enable seamless operations across the organization. This role acts as a technical architect, translating complex requirements into practical, secure, and scalable systems while providing Tier III support for core services. The engineer will proactively identify system needs, optimize performance, and lead initiatives that strengthen reliability and availability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, ensuring infrastructure solutions meet both technical and business objectives. This position blends hands-on technical work with strategic planning, documentation, and user support, all while contributing to a positive, inclusive work environment. Candidates must be located in the Kansas City metro area to participate in occasional on-site activities.
Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain core infrastructure systems and technologies.
- Manage overall health, performance, and reliability of infrastructure services.
- Act as a technical resource and architect for stakeholders, translating requirements into functional systems.
- Provide Tier III technical support for IT staff, network users, hospital personnel, patients, and public users.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for infrastructure systems.
- Participate in continuous learning to maintain technical competency and stay current with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3–5 years’ experience, OR Associate’s degree with 5–7 years’ experience, OR High School diploma/equivalent with 7+ years’ experience.
- Strong understanding of server and application systems integration.
- Experience in Tier III support and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Familiarity with core infrastructure technologies and cloud/on-premise integration.
- Preferred certifications: MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, RHCSA, VCP, Agile & Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Must reside in the Kansas City metro area and be able to attend on-site meetings and trainings.
