CMC Project Manager (Remote - US)

The CMC Project Manager will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the development and manufacturing activities for innovative cell therapy programs. This role requires managing cross-functional teams, liaising with external CDMO partners, and ensuring projects stay on schedule, within scope, and aligned with regulatory requirements. You will lead project timelines, track deliverables, and proactively identify risks while maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. Accountabilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and CDMO partners, coordinating timelines, deliverables, and communications.
• Manage CDMO performance, ensuring adherence to service and quality agreements and effective execution of statements of work (SOWs).
• Develop and maintain project plans, tracking milestones and ensuring timely completion of project objectives.
• Schedule and facilitate project meetings, preparing materials, taking accurate minutes, and distributing to relevant stakeholders.
• Support financial tracking for projects, including creation and management of SOWs, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Identify project risks, escalate issues as necessary, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including status reports, plans, and regulatory records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology project management, with 3+ years focused on CMC or external manufacturing projects, ideally in cell or gene therapy programs.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical or biotechnology projects preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.
• Attention to detail, decision-making capability, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
