You will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing specialized hardware architectures tailored for machine learning and deep learning workloads. Accountabilities
- Design and develop custom hardware architectures optimized for AI algorithms, including neural network accelerators and SoC solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align hardware specifications with AI software requirements and system performance goals.
- Implement and optimize algorithms for hardware acceleration through parallel processing, pipelining, and memory management techniques.
- Conduct detailed benchmarking and performance analysis to ensure scalability, power efficiency, and reliability of AI hardware systems.
- Work with software engineers to integrate hardware solutions into existing AI frameworks and development pipelines.
- Research emerging technologies in AI hardware design, evaluating new approaches and contributing to innovation initiatives.
- Document specifications, designs, and testing methodologies for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware design and optimization for AI or high-performance computing applications.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL) and experience with FPGA or ASIC development tools.
- Strong understanding of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and their hardware acceleration needs.
- Experience with GPU, FPGA, or ASIC acceleration for AI inference and training.
- Knowledge of system-level design, including power, thermal, and performance optimization considerations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative, innovation-driven mindset.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, comfortable working in multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience with full product development cycles or project management is a plus.
