Who We're Looking For

We're seeking aManual QA Engineer who brings curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to dig deep into complex systems to find edge cases, inconsistencies, and broken flows before users do.

You’ll work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure every release meets the highest standards. If you’re the kind of person who takes pride in crafting clear, reproducible bug reports and validating both functional and non-functional requirements—read on.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review requirements and user stories to create comprehensive, structured, and well-documented test cases
  • Execute manual tests across multiple platforms (web, mobile, APIs) to identify bugs, inconsistencies, or usability issues
  • Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and improve product quality
  • Perform regression testing before releases and after bug fixes
  • Provide detailed documentation of test results and QA metrics

Some Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or similar role focused on manual testing
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience testing responsive web applications, APIs, and backend systems
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and test documentation
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal

Nice to Have's:

  • Experience with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools for API testing
  • Exposure to automated testing tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
  • Familiarity with basic SQL for data validation
  • Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android)

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
