Position Summary

We are seeking a procurement specialist to strengthen our Procurement & Planning department. The role requires excellence in planning & ordering, engaging with suppliers, monitoring and escalating critical situations and collaborating with colleagues from planning.

The Planner will be part of our Procurement & Planning team in Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands, South-Holland) and will be working in a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative working culture.

Essential Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Send purchase orders and call-off schedules to suppliers: You receive feedback from the ERP system and consider historical average consumption as well as planning team’s feedback to communicate our needs to suppliers
• Assure parts availability for production: You are responsible for parts to be in the warehouse when needed for production
• Supplier delivery performance management: You monitor your suppliers OTD, engage with them if they performance is not satisfactory, and escalate properly poor performance to management
• Collaboration with production planning: You are part of the production planning and procurement team. You need to give feedback on parts availability to help optimize our planning and production

The ideal candidate has a business focused approach, is willing to work in a challenging environment and is always looking to improve. Key requirements are:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in automotive industry
• Prioritization: Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced environment
• Decision making: Ability to take decision autonomously and supported by data and fact
• Technology Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office and web applications, with a strong ability to use data tools for reporting
• Language Skills: Fluent in English, Dutch. Another European language, or mandarin would be considered a plus
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively, in presence and remote, internally and with suppliers, and through cultural barrier
