Join Our Team as a Conveyancing Assistant!
Support our conveyancers in managing end-to-end property transactions - from preparing contracts to handling PEXA settlements. If you’re organised, detail-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we want to hear from you!
- Assist conveyancers with end-to-end conveyancing processes, including preparation of contracts, transfer documents, and settlement statements.
- Manage and process transactions using PEXA (Property Exchange Australia), including lodgements, settlements, and workspace management.
- Conduct property searches, title checks, and prepare relevant documentation.
- Liaise with clients, banks, real estate agents, solicitors, and government authorities to ensure smooth progression of files.
- Monitor critical dates and deadlines to keep matters on track.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and file notes in line with compliance requirements.
- Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence and filing documents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years' experience working in Victorian conveyancing
- Certificate IV in Conveyancing, Legal Studies, or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Competencies:
- Previous experience working in a conveyancing or legal office environment.
- Demonstrated PEXA experience in handling settlements and lodgements.
- Strong understanding of conveyancing processes, legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-first approach.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software.
