International Women's Initiative (IWI) is an organization which raises awareness of the threats to the human rights of women across the globe and to promote and assist in the achievement of gender equality. The mission of IWI is to help women and girls realize their basic human rights, while working to ensure that all females are free and safe to pursue their full potential.

The organization was founded in August 2012 as a Community Interest Company (CIC) with a remote-first approach, operated entirely by volunteers who work collaboratively across different countries to support women and girls globally. Since 2012, IWI has worked to eradicate and educate on human rights violations against women, believing that equality requires transparency, collaboration, inclusiveness, integrity, and tenacity. The organization creates volunteer and professional networks and provides platforms for engaging in constructive commentary and idea-sharing in the field of women's human rights.

Operating as a small team of approximately 12 employees plus volunteers, IWI prioritizes flexibility and remote collaboration, allowing team members to contribute from various locations while maintaining a unified commitment to their mission. Funds raised are used to support and resource partnerships with community-based organisations and projects.
