SUMMARY:

We are seeking a versatile and dynamic professional to fill a multifaceted role combining the responsibilities of a Business Analyst, Agile Software Product Owner, and Scrum Master. This unique position requires an individual who can seamlessly bridge business needs with technical execution, manage software application development in an Agile environment, and facilitate Scrum processes to drive team success. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, acting as a key liaison between stakeholders, development teams, and leadership to deliver high-impact solutions. This role demands strong analytical skills, software application functionality visioning, and Agile coaching expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Requirements Gathering and Business Process Analysis

    • Conduct thorough requirements gathering, elicitation, and documentation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.

    • Analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.

    • Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications to support development efforts.

    • Perform gap analysis and feasibility studies to align solutions with business goals.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance

    • Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing documentation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of Software solutions against requirements

    • Collaborate with end-users to conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback for continuous improvement

  • Training and Support

    • Provide training to end-users on Software applications and new features

    • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting to address issues and enhance user satisfaction

  • Agile Product Ownership

    • Act as the Agile Product Owner, representing business stakeholders and managing the ticket backlog

    • Prioritize features, epics, user stories, bugs and support tickets based on business value and strategic goals

    • Work closely with development teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions

  • Scrum Mastery:

    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

    • Coach the development team on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and continuous improvement techniques.

    • Identify and remove impediments to team productivity, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Track sprint progress using tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps, and report on key metrics such as velocity, burndown, and team health.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Stay current on Software updates, patches, and new features

    • Propose and implement enhancements to optimize the performance and functionality of Software applications

  • Develop and maintain positive and successful relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.

  • 5+ years of combined experience in business analysis, product ownership, and Scrum facilitation roles.

  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Azure DevOps) and familiarity with SDLC methodologies.

  • Proven track record in Agile environments, with certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) preferred but not required.

  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office setting. Sitting or standing at a workstation with a computer keyboard, multiple monitors, and desk phone. The company dress code is business casual.

Position type and expected hours of work:

This position may to work at the company’s home office or remotely during the company’s general business hours of 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday. Break periods and a lunch period are provided. This position may be required to perform work duties in addition to the above business hours, depending on workload and deadlines.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach. The employee may be required to lift objects to 20 pounds which may include company materials, files, and small equipment. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to view reports, computer screens, forms, and documents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed indoors in a fluorescent and/or LED-lit workspace at the employer’s office with minimal exposure to noise and adverse environmental issues.
