Project description:

A biotechnology research project that earned recognition as a trusted provider of clinical genetic testing and an ideal collaborator for developing precision medicine solutions. Patients are central to the project's mission, driving partnerships with numerous non-profit organizations to support patients and healthcare professionals in their quest for answers. The main focus - is Clinical Cancer Diagnostic; however, the project is designed to expand into additional areas such as Molecular Diagnostic Testing, Cardio Genetics, Neuro Genetics, etc

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Linux environment designs, including administration, security enhancements, OS upgrades, and issue resolution.
2. Automate and implement build, deployment, validation, and configuration procedures.
3. Partner with the operations team to architect IT infrastructure.
4. Oversee releases and maintain various environments.
5. Establish network security and disaster recovery protocols.
6. Deploy and manage development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure.
7. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and external interfaces.
8. Configure necessary tools and infrastructure.
9. Design, set up, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
10. Utilize troubleshooting techniques for IaC and CI/CD operations.
11. Drive automation initiatives.
12. Manage incident responses and conduct root cause analyses.
13. Facilitate coordination and communication within the team and with stakeholders.
14. Drive continuous improvement through CI/CD pipeline development.
15. Maintained ticketing systems and timely updates.

Requirements

Must have:

• Proficiency in AWS CI/CD, Code Pipeline, and general support.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficient in administering and troubleshooting Linux OS, with bash scripting capabilities.
• Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo).
• Experience with various build, automation, IaC, and deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, AWS SNS, AWS SQS).
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB).
• Understanding of networking, DNS, Route 53, and AWS IAM policy management.
• Experience managing storage concepts (e.g., S3, EBS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog).
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues.
• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure management and cost optimization.
• Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of AWS deployment experience and DevOps experience.
• Background in genetics or genetic testing is highly advantageous, and a good sense of humour is essential.
