InPlanet is a remote-first ClimateTech startup seeking a Geochemical Modeler to develop and refine an in-house model for simulating enhanced rock weathering in tropical agriculture. The successful candidate will work closely with the Science team to advance understanding of the ERW process and contribute to company-level business decisions.

Requirements

PhD in Soil Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Geochemistry, Earth Sciences, or a related field
3+ years of proven experience in developing, modifying, applying reactive transport, agro-ecosystem, and/or hydrological models
Strong programming skills (Python or Fortran) for model development
Experience running models using high-performance computing resources
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research-oriented startup environment
