The TMR Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The TMR Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Threat Management and Response (TMR) Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for identifying, refining, and prioritizing backlog for the Threat Management and Response teams. The Product Owner is expected to be knowledgeable on Product Security and be able to break down Epics into Features and Stories for their team to plan and deliver. They should have a working understanding of cybersecurity threat management and response concepts, including how SOC and Incident Response teams operate, the role of detection engineering and threat hunting, the use of cyber threat intelligence, and vulnerability management workflows. The Product Owner is not expected to be a hands-on security expert, but should be able to effectively partner with technical practitioners, understand risks and priorities, and translate operational security needs into well-defined Epics, Features, and User Stories to support team delivery.
