SFGATE Contributing Parks Editor, Southwest

SFGATE is seeking a Contributing Parks Editor to focus on the Southwest region, particularly Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, and other national parks. This remote position involves crafting a range of stories, from news updates to in-depth features, leveraging a deep understanding of the Southwest and the Bay Area. The role offers autonomy and the opportunity to build a strong network within the community.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of relevant writing and/or editing experience
• Knowledge of the Southwest, ideally near National Parks like Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands
• Passion for journalism and storytelling
• Understanding of SFGATE and the brand
