Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior Financial & Analysis Analyst who is comfortable building and update complex financial models. The Sr. FP&A Analyst will be responsible for updating financial models including forecasts, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. You will have a natural curiosity, strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities. Your innovative ideas and results-oriented approach will be essential to our continued success, and you will play a critical role in driving improvement and innovation as we grow.

This role will be working from home permanently. Must be able to overlap with Los Angeles business hours for at least a few hours each day, Monday through Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Partners with the Director of FP&A and Head of Finance to build annual budget and forecast models. Understands the three financial statements and is responsible for the integrity of operational expenses to ensure accurate budget preparation.
• Owns forecast modeling, updating and completing new versions with close attention to detail, meeting timeliness and managing data collections and analysis from various sources.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly reports and detailed fact-finding on variances by partnering with department leaders to actively manage budgets.
• Responsible for continuous financial analysis of both financial and non-financial data to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
• Conducts ad-hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision-making and develop and/or improve FP&A processes and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Must have advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
• Deep understanding of accounting, finance, and business operations
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related preferred
• Experience with manufacturing and/or software industries, a plus
• Excellent analytical skills
• Ability to communicate with executives in day-to-day work
• Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
