We’re looking for a Podcast Editor who can turn raw recordings into sharp, high-quality audio content that reflects the brand’s clean, insight-driven style. This role suits someone who understands pacing, narrative tightening, and polished sound design, and who can execute quickly in a fast-moving newsroom environment.
You will edit long-form conversations and short daily intel clips, ensuring each piece sounds crisp, modern, and built for busy listeners who want signal without noise. If you enjoy shaping ideas through sound and producing audio that feels intentional and editorially strong, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Work On
Podcast Editing and Post-Production
- Edit long-form podcast episodes into polished, well-paced conversations
- Produce short-form audio clips with clean transitions and consistent sound
- Remove filler, background noise, awkward pauses, and unclear moments
- Apply EQ, compression, leveling, and audio cleanup for a professional finish
- Add music, intros, outros, and light production elements as needed
Editorial Enhancement
- Tighten lengthy explanations to improve clarity and flow
- Identify segments to trim, rearrange, or highlight based on narrative value
- Ensure all audio matches the brand’s concise, insight-first editorial style
- Collaborate with the content team to maintain consistent tone and pacing
Quality Control
- Review episodes end-to-end before delivery
- Ensure all audio files meet technical and editorial standards
- Manage file delivery, naming conventions, and version control
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the editorial and production team on themes, tone, and improvements
- Communicate timelines, revisions, and updates clearly
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new formats, or special episodes
Visual & Publishing Support
- Produce clean, consistent thumbnails for audio episodes
- Prepare final asset packages for publishing across platforms
What You Bring
- 3+ years of audio or podcast editing experience
- Strong skills with tools such as Audition, Reaper, Logic, Descript, or Pro Tools
- Excellent sense of rhythm, pacing, and narrative clarity
- Ability to deliver clean audio fast without sacrificing quality
- Strong editorial instinct and attention to detail
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple episodes per week
- Clear communication and openness to iterative feedback
Nice to Have
- Experience editing news, business, or tech podcasts
- Familiarity with transcript-based editing in Descript
- Light sound design or mixing experience
- Understanding of media formats, clips, and social audio trends
