We’re looking for a Video Brief Writer and Production Manager who can turn creative concepts into sharp, actionable video briefs while managing the full production workflow from idea to final delivery. This role sits at the intersection of storytelling, project management, and post-production oversight.
You’ll develop detailed briefs, expand creative concepts, create shot lists, coordinate with creators, and ensure editors have everything they need to execute. You’ll also act as a quality control point, comparing final edits to the original brief and driving alignment across the entire production pipeline.
If you’re organized, creative, and comfortable working closely with editors and storytellers—and you know your way around narrative-style editing enough to think like an editor—this role will feel like home.
Why You’ll Want to Join
- You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
- Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1)
- Observance of Holidays based on your location
- 100% remote setup, work from wherever you perform best
- Collaborate with a creative, fast-moving team working directly with founders and growth-stage brands
- Opportunity to shape and refine the video production system end-to-end
What You’ll Work On
Creative Brief Development
- Translate concepts into detailed, production-ready video briefs
- Build shot lists, narrative outlines, visual direction notes, and technical requirements
- Expand partially formed ideas into clear creative frameworks the team can execute on
- Review briefs for clarity, accuracy, and feasibility before sending to creators or editors
Production & Post-Production Management
- Manage the full production workflow from initial creative concept through delivery
- Communicate directly with creators, editors, and stakeholders to keep projects on track
- Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and handoffs across pre-production and post-production
- Ensure each brief is executed accurately by comparing final edits to the brief and flagging gaps
Quality Control & Feedback
- Watch all final edits and verify alignment with creative and narrative intent
- Provide clear feedback to editors and creators to improve structure, pacing, clarity, and brand alignment
- Maintain high creative standards across all delivered video assets
Collaboration & Workflow Improvements
- Help refine internal templates, briefing structures, and production processes
- Work closely with leadership to build scalable systems for managing multiple video projects
- Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and improve communication loops across the team
What You Bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in video production, post-production, or creative project management
- Strong narrative instincts and familiarity with editing principles, pacing, structure, and visual storytelling
- Ability to turn rough creative direction into polished, professional briefs
- Experience working directly with editors, creators, or production teams
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple video projects at once
- Excellent written communication and ability to convey creative direction with clarity
- Ability to work independently and bring order to fast-moving creative environments
Nice to Have
- Hands-on video editing experience (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience managing YouTube, brand storytelling, or advertising-style video content
- Familiarity with Notion, Airtable, Asana, or similar workflow tools
- A background in creative strategy, copywriting, or content development
How to Apply
Please include:
- Your updated resume
- A portfolio or reel showcasing videos you’ve edited or creative briefs you’ve written
- A short 1–2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and walking through a project you managed or a brief you created
Only complete applications that include a portfolio and Loom video will be considered.
If you’re a structured thinker with strong creative instincts who loves being the connective force between ideas, creators, and editors, this role gives you the chance to shape a production system and produce work that actually moves the needle.
