We are looking for a full-stack software engineer who specializes in building AI Agents.

What skills do we expect of all Hercules engineers to have?

We expect all software engineers at Hercules to

• be incredibly strong in system design and architecture across infrastructure, data modeling, API design, and monorepos

• be able to truly 10x their workflow with AI coding tools while also maintaining high code quality

• have a good product sense with a clear background shipping to customers and iterating

• have a strong experience in Typescript, React, Git, containers, Postgres, and Redis

• talk with users, come up with new ideas autonomously, and ship!

What additional skills do we expect you to have for this specific role?

What are examples of projects you’d lead?

You could

• run 1000s of experiments to make our agent cheaper, faster, and more accurate

• build and maintain our offline and online evals

• get early access to new models

• architect scalable and reliable solutions for commonly built features like internationalization, auth, permissions, admin controls, branding

• enable customers to have infinitely long chats while still maintaining high accuracy

What are Hercules’ operating principles?

Is Hercules in-office or remote?

Hercules founding team works in-office in San Francisco (Kearny and Bush). We have a very strong preference for in office. We are open to remote for exceptional candidates in US time zones who would be willing/able to travel to the office regularly.

What’s the compensation?

$100k-$250k + equity (depends on seniority, equity, and location)

Compensation Range: $100K - $200K
