JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Systems Engineer supports the Enterprise IT Infrastructure platforms and performs daily and weekly defined tasks. The Systems Engineer will assist others in providing system designs, product assessments, and customer consulting. Troubleshooting system issues with escalation to Sr Systems Engineer as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Supports daily essential tasks (tickets, onboardings, etc.).
  • Creates documentation for procedures as requested.
  • Supports and adhere to systems architecture / infrastructure requirements.
  • Works with the IT team to provision HW / network / storage / telephony / Cloud solutions as needed.
  • Supports the recommendations of Senior IT leadership. 6
  • Works with contracted support resources in ongoing systems operations support activities.
  • Provides on-call support.
  • Experiences in troubleshooting.
  • Provides preventive maintenance.
  • Physical server build, rack and stack.
  • Investigation of security incidents as needed.

Required Education or Certifications:
• B.S. in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

• Technical certifications are a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• 2+ years in the role of a system engineer or equivalent experience
• 2+ years Office 365 and Azure AD administration (hybrid experience preferred)
• 2+ years experience designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure within cloud operating environments (Azure experience preferred)

• Experience with MS Teams Administration

• Demonstrated proficiency with Powershell

• Experience with ProofPoint, or similar 3rd party message hygiene system
• Experience with network design, support, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Hyper-V, etc.

• Experience with 3rd party directory integration experience
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive responsibility within IT
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization

• Experience with automation is a plus

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
