JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Accounting Systems Manager leads a team of analysts in the implementation, enhancement, and support of systems across finance functions including Financial Accounting, AP/AR, Treasury, and Internal Audit. This role balances hands-on technical work with people leadership: setting direction, developing team members, and serving as an escalation point while remaining an active contributor to solution design and delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 2–3 analysts, including goal setting, prioritization support, and ongoing feedback.

  • Allocate work across the team, balancing project demands with individual development goals.

  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues and stakeholder requests, ensuring timely resolution

  • Drive the team's use of Asana for project tracking and visibility across deliverables.

  • Lead the full lifecycle of system initiatives: from acquisition, design, and testing through rollout, training, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Collaborate closely with end users to design and deliver impactful reporting solutions, with a focus on Power BI and related tools.

  • Support and enhance the existing Power BI environment by troubleshooting issues and developing reports, dataflows, and semantic models.

  • Perform data analysis and reconcile discrepancies between systems and processes as needed.

  • Contribute to all phases of system enhancement efforts, including requirements gathering, functional and process design, testing, training, and change management.

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement business process improvements by developing detailed workflow diagrams, charts, and project plans from concept through execution.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide support on financial and administrative tasks, including reporting and ad hoc analysis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing technical or analytical staff (or similar)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field

  • Strong Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced)

  • Experience gathering business requirements and designing processes in a corporate or enterprise setting

  • Working knowledge of Power BI for reporting and analysis (certification or practical experience)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with one or more of the following systems:

  • ERP Systems: Oracle Cloud ERP (Fusion) or E-Business Suite (EBS), or similar enterprise financial platforms

  • Reporting & Analytics: Power BI, Databricks, or other business intelligence platforms

  • Project Management: Asana or equivalent tools

  • CRM: Salesforce or other customer relationship management platforms

  • Scripting/Querying: SQL, Python, or comparable languages or querying tools

  • CPA or similar certification

  • Experience in real estate, property management, or private equity environments

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000.

Additional Compensation:

Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

  • Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.

  • Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
