Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Technical Security Program intern to help pivot current security processes and programs from planning through implementation.

This is a 10 week internship program that runs from May 27th, 2026 to August 7th, 2026.

The Job…

  • Program Planning Design: Assist in conceptualizing program objectives, defining scope, and ensuring designs meet technical requirements, team needs and company standards.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Quality Control: Perform customer journeys, prepare executive readouts, and ensure the final programs meet specifications.
  • Collaboration Communication: Work closely with security program manager, supervisors, and other engineers to execute and document programs effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Contribute to identifying obstacles, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Documentation Reporting: Prepare technical documentation drafts, updates and stakeholder presentations.

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical program design background.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of engineering principles and hands-on knowledge of evolving technical programs.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Jira, GitHub, and Clickup.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership Teamwork: Strong leadership skills to delegate tasks, coordinate teams, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to address complex technical challenges and make sound, dependable recommendations.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain technical plans, document progress, and present information effectively.
  • This role requires strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and proficiency in project/program management.

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00. As this is a hybrid position, the pay rate was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
