MedVA (Appointment Scheduling & Insurance Verification)

Overview

Work Setup: 100% Remote (Work From Home)
Compensation: $6/hour (Weekly Payouts)

This role is perfect for a skilled Medical Virtual Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, enjoys multitasking, and is ready to make a real impact on patient care. You’ll be working closely with the client’s established team and supporting day-to-day clinic operations remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient appointment scheduling with precision and care

• Conduct insurance and balance verification

• Handle patient referrals and outbound communications

• Support EMR documentation and updates using Athena Health

• Maintain camera-on visibility during working hours for real-time collaboration

• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients (often parents)

Qualifications / Skills

• At least 1 year of Medical VA experience in a clinical or scheduling role

• Proficiency in Athena Health EMR (required)

• Excellent English communication skills clear, patient, and professional

• Strong multitasking and time management skills

• Detail-oriented, dependable, and quick to learn new processes

• HIPAA-compliant and experienced in remote healthcare environments

Work Setup / Schedule

• Remote / Work-from-Home

• 30 hours per week (Part-Time), with potential to increase to 40 hours

• Eastern Time Zone alignment

• Camera-On policy during working hours
