The role involves accurate translation, editing, and transcription, with a focus on law enforcement and legal subject matter. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of legal terminology.
Requirements
- Translate Japanese legal documents into English.
- Edit audio transcriptions with slang and idioms.
- Edit legal documents, such as affidavits, depositions, etc.
- Translate and/or transcribe following government client's style guides and quality standards.
- Review and certify the quality of other translators’ work.
- Familiar with the use of CAT tools, such as Trados Studio.
