Role Overview
Grow Glīd’s footprint withClass 2 & 3 short lines, regional railroads, transloaders, ports, and commodity shippers(grain, aggregates, timber, manufactured goods). Deliver measurable value with safer, faster, cleaner first-mile solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTarget short lines/regional rail and commodity shippers; build multi-level relationships.
Identify operational pain points; craft proposals and ROI/throughput cases.
Run the full sales cycle; negotiate terms; close new and expansion business.
Track commodity flows and regional freight trends; inform territory strategy.
Coordinate pilots/demos; capture case studies with measurable outcomes.
Maintain CRM pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet/exceed quota.
Provide structured feedback to product on customer requirements.
Requirements
Required Qualifications5+ years sales/BD in rail, port, or commodity transport.
Existing network inClass 2 & 3 short linesand regional freight markets.
Strong technical solution selling and negotiation skills; quota achiever.
Excellent written/verbal communication; willing to travel frequently.
Preferred QualificationsExposure to autonomous/industrial mobility tech or rail material handling.
Knowledge of port/rail regulatory and safety considerations.
Work Environment & Travel
Remote or CA-based; frequent travel to short lines, ports, and shipper sites.
Benefits
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary:$80,000 – $95,000+commission/OTE $125,000 – $145,000
