What are we looking for?

We are looking for highly dedicated Environment & Community Officer to join our safety and result-driven team. This position is permanent full time, working a Monday to Friday roster.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strong leadership to drive a high-performance culture, role modeling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of the operation.

  • Demonstrating a highly visible on-site presence and commitment to implementation of policies, strategy, standards, and systems.

  • Maintaining and implementing current environmental management systems and plans to ensure compliance with regulatory environmental requirements, Glencore Standards and Mine Standards.

  • Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and

  • Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.

About you:

  • You will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related discipline.

  • You will have a thorough understanding of NSW environmental legislation.

  • You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.

  • You have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines.

  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.

  • You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
