Mid 3D Animators

Giant are hiring Mid 3D Animators for an exciting CG production.

Position Overview

This is a full-time position, with artists required to reside in the Republic of Ireland. We provide flexible working arrangements, including on-site, fully remote, or hybrid options.

Position Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Animation Supervisor(s) and Lead Animator(s), to create high-quality, story-driven Animation based on the production style and overall show expectations.
• Follow the structured keyframe animation workflow used by Giant for each stage of blocking, plus, and polish.
• Be able to consistently meet deadlines within the schedule.
• Have a clear understanding of the performance, style, quality, and continuity of the animation
• Maintain an open and professional demeanour when providing or taking directions, undertaking revisions, and altering approaches as required.
• Support a collaborative and creative environment.
• Perform other tasks as the project requires, including mentoring Juniors as needed.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of 3D animation experience in a production.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Maya.
• Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and can deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team, and take feedback and direction.
• Strong organisational skills and a good eye for detail.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of appeal and visual communication skills.
• A decent understanding of the ShotGrid/FPT tool.
