Job Description Summary
Lead a team of project/outage schedulers to deliver services to the Projects/Outage Upgrade teams as a COE, across Generator and/or Steam Value Streams for Nuclear, Fossil and Industrial segments, globally. Design, govern and continuously improve the enterprise level scheduling architecture. Own and orchestrate the integrated, capacity-constrained master schedule for Steam Services Upgrades, ensuring reliable start and finish dates across commercial, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, repairs and field service. Ensure timely availability of GEV and supplier-delivered equipment while aligning with customer commitments and segment-specific regulatory expectations.Job Description
Key Accountabilities
- Actively participate in the definition of the scheduling standards as a member of the S&OE governance team
- Make schedule performance measurable, transparent and predictive
- Embed risk and probabilistic thinking into scheduling
- Lead the team of schedulers including third party services and contribute to the building of a scheduling talent system incl competency frameworks (S&OE governance)
- Translate schedule data into business insights required to take the right decisions in the S&OE framework
- Develop and maintain the upgrades master schedule with all defined scheduling points aligned with contractual commitments
- Work with the resource owner to balance load vs. demonstrated capacity for critical resource pools.
- Identify schedule risks and conflicts across concurrent projects in the portfolio and lead recovery planning, develop risk and scenario planning for potential conflicts.
- Enforce schedule discipline, time fences (frozen/slushy zones), and change governance within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) process
- Provide a single, trusted integrated upgrades schedule for leadership and cross-functional teams
- Integrate with existing Upgrades tools and relevant dashboards
- Validate scheduling point variability and create/manage buffers
- Provide clear visibility of risks of equipment availability to the IMS and PMO
- Operationalize the S&OE process and prepare formal pre-read and agenda for upgrades S&OE executive weekly meeting.
- Define change classes (A/B/C) with approval thresholds and who can approve within each time fence (frozen/slushy zones)
- Interface and govern linkage with S&OP and DM, including change approval mechanics and demand/supply synchronization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in related fields.
- 3+ years experience in Master Scheduling
- Ability to travel 15% domestically and internationally
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Master Scheduling, IMS, and cumulative lead-time concepts.
- Ability to develop and coach teams and drive a high performing team culture
- Ability to frame decisions under uncertainty and influence key stakeholders
- Experience with industry project management (eg heavy industry, automotive, aerospace, civil engineering)
- Ability to assess load vs. capacity using demonstrated performance data.
- Scheduling expertise, including resource planning and slot optimization.
- Experience working with global functions (eg engineering, manufacturing)
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze high volume data sets, to derive performance trends and to generate data visualization
- Strong facilitation and decision-support skills
- APICS/ASCM CPIM or equivalent certification preferred
- Comfortable working across US and global time zones
For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $118,100 - $155,000 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skillset.
