Job Description Summary
The Senior Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for overseeing all government relations, immigration, labor, and regulatory compliance activities supporting GE Vernova legal entities in Saudi Arabia.The role ensures full compliance with Saudi regulations while leading government processes, managing external immigration providers, and partnering with internal stakeholders including HR, Legal, Finance, and Shared Services.
The position acts as the primary focal point for government authorities and provides operational leadership for immigration and licensing activities across multiple entities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end immigration processes including work permits, Iqama issuance/renewal, transfers, and visa services.
- Oversee business visas, visit visas, and mobilization activities.
- Administer and maintain government portals (Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, MOFA, MISA, etc.).
- Ensure renewal and compliance of company licenses (CR, MISA, Municipality, Civil Defense, Chamber of Commerce).
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with Saudi labor, immigration, and corporate laws.
- Maintain accurate employee records, visa tracking systems, and documentation control.
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, Finance, and Shared Services on government-related matters.
- Act as focal point for third-party immigration service providers and review submitted cases.
- Manage government payments and coordinate with Finance for reconciliation.
- Handle document attestations, certificates of origin, and official documentation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements and support workforce localization initiatives.
- Track and resolve violations, fines, and government alerts (Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI).
- Support and manage government inspections, audits, and official inquiries.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
(Associate degree may be considered where applicable in KSA) - Minimum 7 years of experience in Saudi government relations and immigration
- Strong knowledge of Saudi government portals and regulatory processes
- Fluency in Arabic and English
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction
