Let’s Talk about the Role
The Sub‑Region OTR Operations Leader will drive operational excellence by leading outage planning, risk management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement activities that strengthen delivery across the Europe Services organisation.
In this role, you will play a critical part in enabling high‑quality service delivery for Gas Power customers by overseeing outage planning rigor, cost management, and risk mitigation across the sub‑region. You will lead the outage closeout process, validate performance outcomes, and translate lessons learned, best practices, and customer feedback into actionable improvements for future outages. Working closely with ITR sub‑region leaders, you will participate in Daily Management, facilitate PSRs, and provide clear KPI‑driven insights that support strategic decision‑making. Your leadership will help shape regional improvement plans, enhance customer value, and strengthen alignment with the Global Continuous Improvement team, ensuring consistent, reliable, and efficient operational performance.
Your Impact
- Drive operational rigor across key L2 and L3 metrics, ensuring strong performance management and alignment with the Europe Services operational framework.
- Lead the implementation of critical outage‑planning processes, embedding robust risk‑management and mitigation practices across the sub‑region.
- Support Monthly Operational Reviews across SQDC, partnering with Sub‑Region ITR Leaders to identify fulfilment gaps early and drive effective recovery actions.
- Enable successful outages by supporting Service Directors through Operational Reviews and Outage Readiness Reviews (ORR), ensuring planning quality and execution discipline.
- Monitor outage execution against the Successful Outage Scorecard (SOS), ensuring targets are met and partnering with productivity teams to track cost‑out and LAWO/EAC performance.
- Ensure timely and complete Post‑Outage Closure Reviews, driving Lessons Learned, Best Practices, and NCR resolution across fulfilment functions.
- Champion LEAN principles by leading PSRs, facilitating Kaizen events, and collaborating with Fleet, Forecasting, OFS, Parts, Repairs, Supply Chain, Engineering, and ITR to optimise fulfilment and deliver customer value.
What Success Looks Like in This Role
You should be a seasoned operational leader with strong technical and commercial awareness, capable of managing risk, driving performance, and influencing stakeholders across a complex, multinational services organisation. You should also have…
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with substantial operational exposure in field service, supply chain, engineering, repairs, or contract performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and manage operational and cost‑related risks within a technical environment, ensuring stable and predictable delivery outcomes.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills and the confidence to present to managers, customers, and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and team‑building skills, committed to high ethical and safety standards and aligned with GE Vernova’s Spirit & the Letter principles.
- Proven leadership capability in dynamic, change‑driven environments, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong networks across Services, Parts, Repairs, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with familiarity in LEAN methodologies, productivity programs, and continuous improvement tools.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently, with a clear understanding of Gas Power’s products, services, and fulfilment functions, and the ability to share best practices in an engaging, motivating way.

- This is a fully remote position. We are open to the role being located anywhere in Southern Europe – for example Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece etc
