Summary
The USA TODAY NETWORK National Sales team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic Digital Account Executive to be an exceptional addition to our growing National team with a specific automotive focus. We are leading innovation in automotive digital advertising with propriety technology, automotive specific products, and events.
We are looking for a team member to enhance our automotive relationships at agency and T1/T2 levels.
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – NATIONAL Automotive Vertical
• MARKET: Prefer Detroit Geo. Remote; Full time remote position with some travel. Focus is on National Automotive Brands
• Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission, benefits, expenses, unlimited vacation, and more.
What You’ll Do
• Drive digital advertising sales, while meeting and exceeding all sales goals via our owned and operated products, digital marketing solutions, automotive specific solutions, and event sponsorships.
• Focus on identified client direct and named agencies for new revenue opportunities.
• Work as a partner to help clients reach their goals and initiatives.
• Manage, renew, and up-sell existing clients.
• Collaborate with Client Solutions and Account Management to prepare proposals and respond to RFPs with a high degree of professionalism, quality, and in a timely manner.
• Participate and represent Gannett and USA TODAY at industry events.
• Work with partner teams to ensure that clients' KPIs/needs are met.
• Stay current on online advertising trends and innovations.
What You’ll Bring
• Minimum of 3 years of working with national auto brands and digital advertising sales experience (high impact, banners, pre-roll, branded content, off-platform social, and experiential, event sponsorships).
• Established relationships with advertising agencies representing national auto brands is preferred.
• Experience with automotive brands, specifically T1/T2 experience preferred.
• Highly skilled in negotiating and selling the intrinsic value of a premium offering to customers, not just the program or price.
• Prospecting and cold calling skills are necessary.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, exciting environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality.
• Stellar written communication and presentation skills.
• A strong team player with the ability to lead by example.
• Technology: proficient with salesforce, MediaRadar, and SellerCrowd preferred
• BS/BA degree.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $90,000 and $95,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
