POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for building and delivering an events strategy for Fortna and lead Fortna's commitment to the Client experience. Inclusive of event development, production, promotion, follow up, lead generation, messaging and digital campaigns. In addition, this role owns Fortna’s social media channels – messaging, imaging, focused funded campaigns, etc. The primary purpose of this role is to track all marketing materials and activities, monitor social media and awards, manage the company website, and conduct basic competitive research, and manage all trade shows.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Build and deliver an events strategy focused on the full funnel, including lead generation and retention.
  • Design, build, launch and manage a formal show site program in which Fortna can host prospective Clients at existing Client sites to learn more about their experience.
  • Identify events and trade shows for exposure to strategic accounts.
  • Identify show site Clients, draft show site agreements, plan Client visits around specific aspects of the host Client's operations and all the logistics required.
  • Collaborate with our sales & marketing team for creative development of event initiatives, including branding, agenda, design, booth experience and event execution.
  • Responsible for administering Fortna's Client Loyalty surveying program to assess Client sentiment and share with the Fortna ELT and select stakeholders.
  • Report on event performance and ROI.
  • Ensure the right internal stakeholders are on-site at events.
  • Negotiate and help manage external partners/vendors for multiple events.
  • Develop and utilize planning tools, i.e., budget tracking, project timeline, production schedules, event specs etc.
  • Create event communications and promotion on social platforms.
  • Maximize Fortna exposure by posting to website, social media, PR sites, company intranet, etc.
  • Track and report on all marketing activities and deliverables – weekly, quarterly, annually.
  • Update, revise and create social media platforms.
  • Manage other website administration and website projects.
  • Handle/Lead Search Engine Optimization, reporting and analytics.
  • Track and report all media mentions.
  • Track awards given by the media and others.
  • Manage communications around awards won.
  • Ongoing updating of competitive analysis database and reports including research, data gathering, tracking, and analysis.
  • Analyze data to update industry news, acquisitions and win loss evaluations.
  • Other marketing & events projects as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Business-to-Business marketing experience, including experience in event management and website management
  • Understanding of the business executive audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofing
  • Intermediate knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and work cross functionally
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel – approximately 25% of time primarily domestic with the possibility of international travel; however, this could change based on company’s impending business needs
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Supply Chain experience
  • Knowledge of the distribution market
  • Knowledge of InDesign or other graphic design tools
  • Knowledge of HTML

WORKING CONDITIONS: When duties are performed in a typical office environment, extended periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen will be required. Also required is the ability to talk and hear, in person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise level in this work environment is usually quiet. When travelling to Client sites, essential requirements of this position may require physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending,

stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being relatively quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn as necessary.
