As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Project Manager, you will lead sourcing strategy and execution for custom hardware components that support new product introduction and lifecycle programs. You will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to achieve cost, quality, delivery, and risk objectives. Your work will help ensure sourcing readiness, supply continuity, and scalable production outcomes across complex hardware programs.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing strategy and execution for custom hardware components, including mechanical parts, display modules, printed circuit boards, cables, connectors, and electromechanical assemblies
  • Drive request for proposal and request for quotation processes, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract development for global supply categories
  • Partner with Engineering to influence supplier selection, manufacturability, design-for-manufacturing, and design-for-excellence decisions early in the product development lifecycle
  • Own sourcing workstreams for new product introduction and sustaining programs, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, risk tracking, and mitigation planning
  • Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support supplier qualification, tooling readiness, first article inspection, production part approval process, and production ramp execution
  • Develop category strategies that support dual sourcing, long-term supplier roadmaps, design-to-cost initiatives, should-cost analysis, and value analysis and value engineering opportunities
  • Lead supplier business reviews, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement efforts to improve quality, delivery, capacity, and supply continuity
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

What you'll need to have:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commodity management supporting custom hardware components in a product-based environment
  • 6+ years of experience leading sourcing activities for new product introduction programs, including supplier selection, qualification, and transition to mass production
  • 6+ years of experience negotiating commercial terms, including pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, tooling amortization, statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, and supply agreements
  • Experience using project management methods to manage cross-functional timelines, sourcing milestones, risk registers, and executive status communication
  • Experience evaluating manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership across mechanical parts, display components, printed circuit boards, cables, and assemblies

What would be great to have:

  • Experience sourcing from global supplier bases across multiple regions
  • Experience with liquid crystal display or thin-film-transistor display modules, printed circuit board fabrication and assembly, and high-reliability cable assemblies
  • Experience with should-cost modeling, value analysis, and value engineering methodologies
  • Experience supporting high-volume or highly customized hardware product environments
