Founded in 1952 by a few astute people at Hewlett-Packard and Tektronix, First Tech Federal Credit Union has evolved into the nation's premier credit union, primarily serving the employees and family members of leading technology-oriented companies. Our journey began when a handful of Tektronix employees came together to form a credit union designed to support their financial needs. Over the years, as our member base expanded to include employees from renowned companies such as HP, Microsoft, Intel, and Amazon, we embraced the challenge of providing exceptional financial services that reflect the dynamic landscape of the technology industry. Today, with over 540,000 members, First Tech offers a comprehensive suite of products, including checking and savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment services. Our volunteer Board of Directors is made up entirely of our own members, ensuring that we remain focused on being a trusted financial provider without the profit motives typical of traditional banks.
