Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is a world-renowned American manufacturer of stringed instruments and amplifiers. Founded by Clarence Leonidas "Leo" Fender in 1946 in Fullerton, California, the company has become an iconic brand in the music industry, synonymous with the electric guitar and the spirit of rock 'n' roll. Fender's innovative designs and mass-production techniques revolutionized the music world, making high-quality electric guitars accessible to a broader audience. Some of its most famous and influential products include the Telecaster, introduced in 1950 (originally as the Broadcaster), the Precision Bass (1951), the first mass-produced electric bass guitar, and the Stratocaster (1954), which became one of the most iconic and imitated electric guitar designs in history. These instruments played a pivotal role in the development of numerous musical genres, including rock, blues, country, jazz, and more.

Over the decades, Fender has expanded its product line to include acoustic guitars, bass amplifiers, public address equipment, effects pedals, and various musical accessories. The company's portfolio of brands also includes Squier, Gretsch guitars, Jackson, Charvel, and EVH, among others. Fender's commitment to innovation has continued into the 21st century with a focus on digital products and artist relations. In 2015, the company launched Fender Digital, aiming to connect with players through a digital ecosystem of products and learning tools, such as Fender Play, an online platform for learning guitar, bass, and ukulele. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Fender maintains manufacturing facilities in the United States (Corona, California) and Mexico (Ensenada), and has international offices supporting its global operations. The company emphasizes a player-centric approach, catering to everyone from beginners to the world's most acclaimed artists, solidifying its status not just as an industry leader but as a cultural symbol that resonates globally.
