Position Summary:

The Director, Health Systems is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with assigned hospitals and health systems. This role focuses on retaining and renewing existing partnerships, driving revenue growth, and expanding service adoption within named clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management, client success, and healthcare sales, with a deep understanding of the challenges and needs of health systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Account & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned hospitals and health systems, ensuring long-term client success.
  • Develop strategic engagement plans for each account to enhance relationships and maximize service adoption.
  • Lead contract renewals and service expansions, proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Partner with key hospital stakeholders (C-suite, administrators, clinicians) to understand their evolving needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention by addressing concerns, optimizing service delivery, and providing ongoing support.

Revenue Growth & Expansion

  • Identify growth opportunities within assigned accounts to expand service lines, increase usage, and drive additional revenue.
  • Work closely with business development and sales teams to strategize and execute expansion initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key account performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop targeted engagement strategies for client education and adoption.

Market & Industry Expertise

  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging challenges affecting hospital systems.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal teams, influencing product development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to strengthen market presence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in account management, business development, or healthcare sales, preferably within hospitals or health systems.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, hospital purchasing processes, and clinical workflows.
  • Proven ability to renew, upsell, and expand client relationships in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is appreciated but not required..

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

In addition to an hourly or base salary, this position could be eligible for 401k, continuing education, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors, including type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
