Title: Security Engineer I
Location: India, Remote
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Security Engineer I will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and optimizing advanced security solutions to protect the organization's assets. This position is responsible for integrating and enhancing security tools, such as SIEM platforms, endpoint monitoring systems, and automated incident response solutions, within the security team's infrastructure. The Security Engineer I will manage the security control platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, the role will involve automating security workflows, customizing tools to meet specific requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement robust security measures. This mid-level position requires hands-on expertise in managing security systems and the ability to drive innovation in security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and optimize advanced security tools, such as SIEM platforms, endpoint monitoring systems, and automated incident response solutions.
- Manage the security control platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and adherence to organizational security requirements.
- Automate security workflows and integrate tools into CI/CD pipelines to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement tailored security measures and ensure seamless integration.
- Apply expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or C#) to develop custom security scripts and solutions
- May mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives across security and engineering functions.
- Maintain strong awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud security and DevSecOps.
- Perform all other duties and activities as required.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or appropriate certifications. This can be substituted with similar work experience.
- 4 to 6 years of professional experience in security engineering, DevSecOps development, and/or cloud automation development activities.
- Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell.
PREFERRED:
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
