As a Senior Manager, you will further develop and strengthen the dss+ value proposition for PEPI clients in a fast-moving, high-growth environment. Focusing on the intersection of operations and sustainability/ESG, you will develop and apply new skills by working with global PEPI investors and their portfolio companies across multiple sectors and geographies.

The Role

In this strategic and client-facing position, You will advise and implement solutions aimed at having a positive impact and value for the client.

Primary services include pre-acquisition due diligence, post-acquisition assessment, roadmap implementation, and bespoke solutions. You will develop and lead key client relationships and provide guidance and senior advisory to project teams.

You will apply your depth of consulting experience and knowledge of the Private Equity industry to develop and lead client solutions and project delivery. You will develop long-term relationships, lead significant cross-team initiatives, and contribute to the growth and success of the PEPI industry vertical. You will help to define our value proposition and expand dss+ brand awareness.

You will be responsible to:

  • Develop and lead relationships with PEPI clients, establishing dss+ as a trusted advisor and ensuring quality in all aspects of solution design and delivery.
  • Support dss+ in expanding its value proposition to PEPI clients, working alongside senior dss+ leaders.
  • Lead and manage client engagements, interact with senior-level stakeholders, and maintain accountability at all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure objectives are met and delivered on time and on budget.
  • Provide subject matter expertise through deep knowledge of key trends related to operational risk & excellence across major industries and geographies.
  • Drive innovative solution design to address complex business requirements, expand the service offering, and work across regions and practices to develop and share content.
  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues to support their development within the organization.
  • Create awareness and understanding of the PEPI service offering across the organization and with prospective and current clients.

Who are you today?

  • You have Operations Management Consulting and commercial experience. You’re most likely a Manager or Senior Manager in a management consulting firm, and you have a pretty impressive track record in advising clients and driving business development in the Private Equity space. You’re comfortable with developing industry practices and take long-term client relationships seriously. You're a great listener – allowing you to develop offers and solutions that meet each client's unique needs. And you're comfortable in the C-suite, engaging as a peer with board members, investment teams and portfolio company leaders
  • Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years delivering consulting services in a project management capacity at a top tier strategy / operations firm, with at least 3 years of experience advising private equity and principal investors and their portfolio companies in major transformational engagements
  • Operational experience (consulting or corporate) with a focus on sustainability levers (decarbonization, circular economy, etc.)
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of technical data, with the ability to quickly synthesize complex information into conceptual frameworks and actionable recommendations
  • Your working style is highly collaborative, you are proactive and energetic with the ability to engage and persuade key stakeholders, you thrive in a fast-paced and environment, have comfort working with global teams, and a strong drive to advance business beyond compliance and toward systemic change that creates value at the societal level.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (American English)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; preferably a Master’s degree/MBA
  • Advanced MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) skills
  • Expertise:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business; MBA or MS preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have a mix of industry and consulting background
  • More than 8 years of professional experience in management consulting; deep understanding of management consulting services and how they can benefit clients. Well-versed in the industry trends and challenges facing prospective clients
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team-working attitude to collaborate within fast-paced, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Travel Required
