The Role

We are looking for a strategic and highly analytical SEO & AEO Manager to lead Donorbox’s organic growth across Google Search, AI Overviews, and other community and International search markets.
This role combines SEO, AEO, Content strategy, and community-driven organic growth.
This is not a “publish endless blog posts” role. We care about leverage, prioritization, and finding the 20% of opportunities that drive 80% of growth.

Responsibilities

SEO & AEO Strategy

• Develop and execute Donorbox’s SEO and AEO strategy
• Improve visibility across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Reddit, and conversational search
• Optimize content for semantic search, entity recognition, citations, and answer engines

Keyword Research & Content Strategy

• Identify high-impact keyword opportunities with strong business value
• Partner with content and product marketing teams to create authoritative content that ranks and converts
• Grow topical authority across nonprofit fundraising, church giving, CRM, donor engagement, events, and fundraising technology

International & Localization SEO

• Grow organic visibility across the USA, Europe, and Australia
• Support multilingual SEO across Spanish, French, and Dutch content
• Improve localized search performance and regional content strategies

Technical SEO

• Improve site architecture, internal linking, structured data, crawlability, indexation, and Core Web Vitals
• Work closely with engineering and product teams on implementation

Off-Page SEO, PR & Community Authority

• Lead backlink, PR, and authority-building initiatives
• Increase high-quality mentions and citations across nonprofit, church, SaaS, fundraising, and community ecosystems
• Develop strategies to improve Donorbox visibility across Reddit, Quora, forums, YouTube, LinkedIn, and nonprofit communities
• Help establish Donorbox as one of the most trusted and recommended fundraising platforms online
• Understand how AI systems use community discussions, reviews, citations, and brand mentions to influence rankings and recommendations

Analytics & Performance

• Track organic growth, AI Overview visibility, rankings, backlinks, conversions, and pipeline impact
• Continuously refine strategy based on data and changing search behavior

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, or content strategy
• Strong understanding of modern SEO and AI-driven search trends
• Experience scaling organic growth for SaaS or high-growth internet companies
• Expertise in:
• Technical SEO
• Content strategy
• Keyword research
• Semantic SEO
• Search intent
• Off-page SEO

• Strategic thinker with strong business judgment
• Understands leverage and prioritization
• Curious about the future of search and AI

Bonus Points

• Experience in nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven industries
• Experience with AI search optimization and AEO
• Experience with multilingual SEO
• Familiarity with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, GA4, Search Console, and Screaming Frog
• Experience building scalable backlink, PR, or community-driven growth strategies

Details

• Fully remote based in India or Europe
• Salary: $60-70k USD, depending on experience and location
