Doctors of BC

Doctors of BC is a voluntary association representing over 16,000 physicians, residents, and medical students in British Columbia. Founded in January 1900, we are committed to advocating for a healthcare system that meets the highest standards while ensuring our members experience professional satisfaction and fair economic reward. Our strategic vision includes promoting engagement and collaboration among physicians, leading to a healthy and effective healthcare environment.

As a key player in healthcare transformation, Doctors of BC focuses on improving healthcare access, promoting equity, and championing the importance of a culturally safe healthcare system. Our organization acknowledges the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous communities, which underlines our commitment to providing culturally safe care for all patients.
